1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how A + E Software Development (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with the JourneyHub mobile application (“JourneyHub” or the “App”). JourneyHub provides travelers with access to trip itineraries, travel documents, inclusions, payment information, confirmations, reminders, and related travel details.
2. Information JourneyHub Handles
Depending on the services associated with a trip, JourneyHub may handle:
- Account and authentication information: username, password or other authentication credentials, first name, last name, and account identifiers.
- Traveler and trip information: traveler names, travel dates, destinations, itinerary details, accommodation and transportation information, addresses, map locations, notes, booking or confirmation numbers, supplier information, inclusions, and travel documents.
- Payment-related trip information: payment amounts, due dates, payment status, and limited payment reference information displayed for trip-management purposes. JourneyHub is not intended to display full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
- Communications and support information: information included in questions, support requests, account deletion requests, or other communications sent to us.
- Technical and service information: information needed to connect to and operate the App, such as network status, IP address, server logs, error information, and device information that may be processed as part of normal application and hosting operations.
Trip information may be provided by the traveler, an authorized travel advisor, another authorized account user, or a travel supplier in connection with the travel services being managed.
3. How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and provide access to the correct account and trips.
- Display and synchronize itineraries, confirmations, inclusions, documents, payment details, and other trip information.
- Provide offline access to certain trip information and documents where supported.
- Provide reminders and notifications related to trips or payments when enabled by the user.
- Allow users to open map locations, websites, travel documents, and other external resources.
- Respond to support, privacy, correction, and deletion requests.
- Maintain the security, reliability, and proper operation of JourneyHub.
- Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, and contractual obligations.
4. Device Permissions and Optional Features
JourneyHub may request device permissions only when needed for a feature. For example, calendar access may be requested when a user chooses to add a trip to the device calendar, and notification permission may be requested to provide trip or payment reminders. Users can manage these permissions through their device settings.
When JourneyHub opens a map, website, email address, telephone number, video, or other external resource, the selected third-party app or website may process information under its own privacy policy.
5. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell personal information.
- Service providers: hosting, database, security, document-delivery, and technical service providers that support JourneyHub and process information on our behalf.
- Travel-related parties: travel advisors, suppliers, or service providers when necessary to manage or support the traveler’s trip or when the traveler has authorized the disclosure.
- Legal and safety recipients: government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the security of JourneyHub.
- Business transaction recipients: an acquiring or successor organization if the business or relevant assets are transferred, subject to appropriate notice and legal requirements.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Data transmitted between JourneyHub and its servers is sent using encrypted HTTPS connections. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and trip information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide JourneyHub and related travel services, maintain business and travel records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, security, or regulatory obligations. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to applicable retention requirements.
Some trip information or documents may be cached locally on a user’s device to support offline access. Locally stored information may remain until the user logs out, clears the App’s data, removes downloaded content, or uninstalls the App, depending on the device and feature.
8. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with JourneyHub by emailing danielle@aesolutionsnj.com. Please include “JourneyHub Privacy Request” in the subject line and provide enough information for us to verify the account and locate the relevant records.
JourneyHub accounts are provisioned for authorized travelers and the App does not provide public self-service account registration. A user who no longer wants a JourneyHub account may request account and associated data deletion through the contact method above. Certain records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or regulatory purposes.
9. Children’s Privacy
JourneyHub is not directed to children under 13 and does not offer children the ability to create accounts. Travel records may include limited information about minor travelers when supplied by an adult traveler or authorized travel organizer for legitimate trip-planning and travel-service purposes.
10. International Use
JourneyHub may be accessed while users are traveling internationally. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to JourneyHub, our data practices, or legal requirements. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
